In
May 1996, Scott Bauer came to Gateway as an eager, energetic, and
enthusiastic young man, with high hopes of finding gainful and competitive
employment. Soon after
working with Gateway, Scott was employed by Pizza Hut of East Norriton as
a dishwasher/bus person. Later, he was transferred to the Pizza Hut in
King of Prussia.
May
31, 2002 was Scott’s 6-year anniversary as a Pizza Hut employee. He
celebrated this milestone on June 12, 2002 when he received a certificate
of achievement from Gateway’s Employment Specialists and a boom box from
Pizza Hut.
While
at work Scott is full of smiles, listening to and singing along with his
favorite ‘50’s songs while maintaining job efficiency.
During the day Scott never loses his smile or his up-beat
personality.

“Scott
is enthusiastic and I wish all my employees would come to work and work
like he does” quoted Ryan, Pizza Hut’s restaurant manager.
Because of his positive attitude, Scott is well liked by co-workers
and store customers as well!
Scott
carries his positive attitude outside of work too, as a very active person
in his community. Scott volunteers his time working with Habitat for
Humanity, helping to build and repair houses for others. Scott’s also a
Special Olympics Athlete. During this past year, he has won gold, silver,
and bronze medals for softball, track, and bowling.
Scott is truly a positive roll model for Gateway staff and participants,
his Pizza Hut co-workers, his family and friends, and to all those in
Special Olympics. We wish Scott continued success at Pizza Hut and with
his various activities. |
